Why did Romans siege Jerusalem in 70 AD?
A serious revolt against Roman rule had broken out in Judea in 66 AD. The major rebel leaders and forces holed up in Jerusalem and refused to surrender,forcing the Romans into a lengthy siege so as to finally suppress the revolt.
