Period during a family vacation?? HELP!?

okay, so i am going to niagra falls in a few days and i might be on my period when we are there. Now, i only use pads, and we are going on the maid of the mist. I know that you get sorta like soaked when you go under the water falls. So i was just wondering, if i get really wet, will like my pad get wet and like leak trough or somthing? i mean i really dont like to wear tampons so what should i do?
