Where is a good place to learn about making war dioramas?

I've recently become interested in war dioramas, specifically those having to do with the Ancient Romans. I have been searching but haven't been able to find a good source of information on constructing larger dioramas or places to purchase figures. I would like to make a diorama on the Siege of Avaricum. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
