Dungeon Siege 3 loot question?

i heard that the loot system in dungeon siege 3 is not that good, i am only concered if it has many different possibilities for a single item, like if you played THE CHOSEN WELL OF SOULS, it has many items, and also like Diablo, I want many different items, and the stronger enemies i kill, the better loot i will get ?
